COVID-19 Updates

The health and safety of our BBBS Community, including youth, parents, volunteers and staff, is of the utmost importance to us. We continue to take steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Effective immediately:

  • Our offices will be closed. Staff will continue to work remotely.
  • Program orientation, Volunteer interviews, youth/parent interviews and MENTOR trainings will take place via web conferencing or phone.
  • Match Support Specialists will contact matches and discuss options for virtual match outings via Google Hang Outs, FaceTime, Google Voice 3-Way and through our pen pal program.

We remain inspired by stories of Bigs and Littles staying connected in this time of social distancing.

Big Sister Stephanie and Little Sister La’Miyah decided to stay connected through our Pen Pal system. With Match Support Specialist Nikiah’s coaching and support on the importance of maintaining relationships even over long distance, this match has been able to keep building their rapport, building La’Miyah’s reading skills, and building optimistic about the future of their Relationship.
